Shine Global is an award-winning non-profit media company that improves the lives of children by telling powerful stories that raise awareness, promote action, and inspire change.
Over 20 years, Shine Global has won two Emmys and an Oscar (and received multiple Emmy and Oscar nominations) as we developed original films, produced impact campaigns, and supported filmmakers, producers, and films that share our mission to improve the lives of children through storytelling.
Shine Global is seeking an individual to join our team to support and manage Shine Global’s non-theatrical, community-oriented screening tours, film impact campaigns and events. The manager will work with the Shine Global leadership team and our filmmakers to develop impact campaign strategies for our films, coordinate outreach efforts, and support fundraising events. Ideal candidates will be extremely organized, detail-driven, and passionate about film and media, social change, and the child-centered issues that our projects tackle.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Work with the Shine Global leadership team and filmmakers to develop impact campaign strategies for our newest films and film library, including success metrics
- Develop, execute, and monitor components of an overall screening campaign strategy including:
- Building audience outreach lists
- Conducting outreach by email and phone
- Developing and maintaining relationships with external partners
- Tracking screening and related fundraising events
- Fulfilling digital needs for screening events
- Collecting post-screening data from surveys and hosts
- Preparing campaign reports
- Lead development of key campaign tools including screening application forms, screening toolkits, surveys, and external communications
- Maintain, update and track contacts using Shine Global’s CRM tools (Salsa, Airtable)
- Maintain, update and track campaign and event tasks using Shine Global’s project management tools (Asana, Airtable)
- Create progress updates, impact reports and communications for grant applications, board meetings, and donor engagement and outreach
QUALIFICATIONS AND KEY COMPETENCIES
- Bachelor’s degree
- Four plus years of relevant experience
- Excellent organization and communication skills
- Knowledge of design, project management and CRM software, such as Canva, Asana, Airtable, and Salsa, and willingness to learn new software
- Ability to execute all aspects of impact campaigns and screening events including prospect research, outreach, data entry, spreadsheets, evaluation, and reporting
- Comfortable working independently
- Familiarity working for and with nonprofits
- Ability to travel 2-3 times per year for key events depending on home base
- Candidates based in the New York City area preferred, but not required
SALARY AND BENEFITS:
- Salary range 60k-70k
- Holidays, sick leave, and generous paid time off
- Closed between Christmas and New Year’s Day
- Fully remote work

- Occasional travel to LA/DC/NYC depending on home base
